Shore Family Vacation!

I am so far behind on blogging it's not even funny! So, in order to try to catch up with everything instead of writing about our awesome trip to LA and our Mexican Cruise I am just going to post some quick pictures.

Snuba- so much harder than it looked and should have been, also got stung by jelly fish, not fun.

Thanks for reading!

30: Final Road trip blog: NYC, Baltimore, home

I LOVE NYC! I am not sure what it is about the city that I enjoy so much, but I love to visit whenever I get a chance. NYC was the last main stop of our trip, this was the only location we spent 2 days at. Because all of us had been to NYC before we didn't feel like we had a bunch of things we needed to do so it was nice to take 2 days to just explore.
The first thing we did once we got to the city was to meet up with Katie. We decided to meet her at Serendipity for frozen hot chocolates as it was super hot.
After the frozen hot chocolates we spent some time in Central Park. Before this trip all my trips to NYC, 5 of them, had been in the winter. It was really nice to see everything green. We walked around for a while then decided to head to our next destination: the Flat Iron building.
Where Katie had heard about an art instillation she wanted to check out.
There were dozens of these iron mans all over the place, most of them were on roof tops near the Flat Iron building.

After that Katie realized the had left her credit card at Serendipity, so we headed back to pick it up. After that we walked around some more, had some dinner than drove to Jersey where our hotel was.
We got up pretty early the next day and headed back to the city. We started of our day with some amazing bagels!

Next we headed to the Brooklyn Bridge

After the Brooklyn Bridge, we head to Time Square to meet up with Diego. Diego is a good friend of mine who lives in the city. He had a lot going on so we only got to see him for about an hour.
We went to the Toys R us store and the M&M store.
After that it was time for lunch. I suggested we go to Milon, an Indian restaurant ( 93 1st Avenue New York, NY 10003). I first went to this restaurant a few years ago with some Crusade friends. I highly suggest checking it out! It's a fun place to check out at lunch time but an even better experience if you go for dinner.

After lunch we were hot and tired so we decided to relax and take the Staten Island ferry as Justin had never gone to see the Statue of Liberty. Once we got back to Manhattan we decided to go check out the High Line, a park Katie had heard about. It used to be a subway line that they are now transforming into a park. It's a really cool place! On the way there we also came across a really cool art show we really enjoyed.
After that it was time to head back to the hotel and to continue our journey.

Katie had flown into NYC but joined us for the last part of our Road Trip. As usual, I packed up the car. Several years of packing up car for Cru spring breaks has come in very handy! It's amazing how much I can pack into the trunk of a Honda Civic!

We decided our final stop on the way home was going to the Baltimore. I had never been and it worked well with the time line for a place to have lunch. We decided to stop by Charm City Cakes, I love cake decorating and it was near where we were having lunch.

For lunch we stopped at Hun Cake. It turns out they only do Brunch on Sundays so Katie, Justin and Chris had breakfast food and I had a huge piece of coconut cake.

After that we went to explore the harbor, where I was able to go geocaching. And we took one final group picture before heading home.
Overall, this was an amazing trip!! We did a TON of things in 11 days! We ended up driving 2,712 miles! I am still not sure what my favorite part of the trip was but I am really glad we took the trip!
