I've enjoyed this blog but I've decided it's time for a change. I am starting a new blog and this one will be more about every day life, the things I am facing, learning, trying to figure out. I am not linking this blog to facebook so if you want to keep up with what's going on with me follow the new blog: Lalashore.blogspot.com
I will still up date this blog as new experiences come up, I will also continue to update the cake blog as I complete more projects.
Thanks for reading!

Southern Cakes: James McNair's Peanut cake.
This cake was made with Katie in mind. It's a peanut cake, with peanut butter icing. I did change the recipe some. I am not a fan of cream cheese icing so instead of the peanut butter-cream cheese icing I made a peanut butter butter cream icing. The consensus from wiigue was that the icing was great and next time I should fill it with a chocolate filling.
Southern cakes: Lemon-Filled Coconut Cake
I am not a fan of lemon filled anything, but the cake it self tasted really good. And once again Wiigue really enjoyed it.
Southern Cakes: Shenandoah Valley Blue Berry Cake
Chris picked out this cake, the Shenandoah Valley Blueberry cake. I would argue that it's more of a sweet bread than cake but that's besides the point. I am not a fan of baked fruit, unless it's pumpkin pie. But, this cake smelled sooooooooo good while it was baking! The recipe was really simple and Chris loved it. Next time I think I will add even more blueberries. So far I am really enjoying this book, so is wiigue as they get to try out all the experiments.
