So, this week I tried a few more food items. Margie, the amazing mom, of the 4 wonderful kids I get to take care of, often makes soups. They smell wonderful, so last week when she offered for me to try the soup she had just made I decided to try it. It was chicken, white bean, noodle s
oup. It had mushrooms, that I picked out. It was very good, but I did cheat, I drained out most of the liquid. I am not sure that I'll start eating soups but I may consider them when I can drain out most of the liquid. My second experience was sweet potatoes fries at Top of the Hill. We went out to lunch with Chris, and he got sweet potato fries with his lunch. I tried one and it was ok, but I love my fries to be very salty so I think I'll be sticking to regular french fries.
We also tried out Rita's frozen custard and gelado. Rita's is originally from Philly. They have lots of choices and it was pretty good. I tried the passion fruit frozen ice, and it was way too sweet, so I ended up having the chocolate frozen custard. It was not as good as goodberry's but it's a lot closer to us.
Another thing I go to do this week was to practice the Soularium surveys. As I haven't used the solarium since last spring break I decided I should do it this past week. So, for the first time I actually used the Solarium with people I know personally, Justin and Chris. It was cool to see what people I actu
ally know think, where they are in their journey etc.Over all it was a really good week. Saturday Justin, Chris and I all finished our wii bowling game with turkeys on our last frame, that's the first time we have ever done that.
I'm trying to come up with a list of major things I want to do this year, if you have any ideas please let me know!
Thanks for reading!
Larissa :)
P.S. I forgot to mention it last week but I tried Justin's solution for hick-ups. I get them often and they will last hours. So, last week after about 2 hours Justin talked me into his idea: eating a spoon of peanut butter. I am not a big fan of peanut butter, unless it's in chocolate. So, I decided to try it mostly to just shut him up and prove that it didn't work. Much to my surprise it worked! So, I guess next time I have them I'll try peanut butter again and see if it really works or if it was just a coincidence.
