27. Roadtrip Part 5: Ottawa and Montreal

We had one main thing we wanted to do in Ottawa, see the Changing of the Guards and Parliament. Unfortunately, Parliament was closed and there was no changing of the guards the day we were there :(
We were still able to walk around and enjoy the city.



We also went to the National Gallery of Art. It's a pretty massive museum, and we had a great afternoon walking around the museum and enjoying all sorts of art.


After the museum is was time to head to Montreal. The main thing we wanted to do in Montreal was to go explore the historic buildings. At least that's what I wanted to do! Our first stop was the Notre Dame Basilica, they were already closed for the day so we were happy to see it from the outside.

After exploring for a while we decided to have some dinner before heading back to the hotel. I ended up going to this awesome McDonald's and the guys went to subway across the street.

While driving around Canada we passed many Canadian Tires. We weren't sure what they were so we decided to go check it out. It turns out Canadian tire is a mix of a car shop + roses+ camping store.

This was our last day in Canada, we really enjoyed the few days we got to explore!
